ELCoP held its first Conference on October 2019 with a title “Challenges and Prospects of Ethiopia’s Logistics Industry” in collaboration with Ethiopian Freight Forwarders and Shipping Agents Association /EFFSAA/. The aim of the conference was to realize streamlining the fragmented logistics processes and practices.

The conference was a big achievement in bringing all stakeholders to one platform to coordinate, work closely and alleviate the logistics problems currently experienced as well as to prevent future operational bottlenecks.

It is also a deliberated goal of one of the National Logistics Strategies to bring these stakeholders to work in collaboration, coordination and integration. The forgoing has also been re-confirmed in ELCoP’s first conference syndicate recommendations.

Hence, going forward with the recommendation from the conference Technic Committee has been established and it is one of the major and priority interventions that ELCoP is addressing.
