September 16, 2022, marked a grand achievement for Ethiopia. At the Air Cargo News Awards 2022, Ethiopian Cargo and Logistics Services, the internationally recognized cargo player during the pandemic for efficiently transporting vital medical supplies and vaccines to all corners of the globe and the largest air cargo network operator in Africa, won the titles of “Cargo Airline of the Year” and “Best Cargo Arline-Africa.”

Online voting was open to all international cargo participants, including freight forwarders, ground handlers, and general and cargo sales agents.

Ethiopian converted its passenger aircraft to freighters to boost its cargo operations and shipped approximately 1 billion doses of the COVID-19 vaccine around the world during the outbreak of the pandemic.
